Man Denies Card Fraud

POLICE were examining Commonwealth Bank records in the case of a man charged with embezzling $300,000, a court heard yesterday.
Singapore national Kenneth Chuen Yan Yu is facing 35 counts of fraud, relating to a stolen bank card and the business Vital Link Pty Ltd.Police allege the 28-year-old used the stolen card and pin number to withdraw thousands of dollars in the nine months to March last year.He also allegedly modified Vital Link's computer records to increase the value of goods and paid himself the balance as a commission.Wollongong Local Court heard yesterday that police had executed a search warrant on the Commonwealth Bank and seized documents were being examined.Yu, of Ralph Black Dr, North Wollongong, has denied the charges.The case will come before the court again on February 23.
