Jailed For Role In Card Scam

A MAN has been sentenced to 18 months' jail for his part in a credit card skimming scam that included the alleged transfer of $600,000 from Australia.
The man, 31, of Bankstown, who cannot be named, was charged with 115 offences, including 16 fraud charges at East Maitland in May 2005. He pleaded guilty before Gosford magistrate Gary Cocks to a number of charges including fraudulently obtaining money by deception, and a large number of other fraud charges.
